Level 1 Food Safety in catering, retail, and manufacturing
The Level 1 Food Safety & Hygiene Award is a short course covering the essentials of food safety, including:
- Personal responsibilities for food safety
- Importance of personal hygiene
- Importance of cleaning
- General food safety
The course concludes with a multiple-choice exam (there are different versions for catering, manufacturing and retail).
Who should attend this course?
If you work in an environment that deals with food, but you’re not personally required to handle it, then this Level 1 food safety course is for you.
It’s designed for bar and checkout staff, food delivery drivers and warehouse staff, front of house staff and waiters, kitchen porters, and cleaners, so they can ensure any food sold is safe for consumers to eat.
Half-day course (four hours).
